This one of the easiest pretzel recipes I’ve seen in a long time. Everyone should have a homemade pretzel at some point in their life. They’re just so classic! My idea would be to make a big, gigantic bunch of these and take them to a picnic at a park or something of the sort.
Creative Noshing is probably my most favorite cooking blogs, you should check it out!
Yesterday I shared with you the buffalo wings that we had for our appetizer supper. They were awesome, but we also had a soft pretzel with cheese sauce on the side. Equally delicious.
I have been planning to try these for a while. A tattered piece of paper with this recipe on it sat in my kitchen for months. It happens, I tear items out of magazines and throw them into a holding pattern for months at a time, waiting until the “perfect” moment, or most likely when it happens to fall in front of my eyes again during a cleaning spell.
Months ago, I tore this from a penzey’s magazine, after showing it to my husband who voiced his interest. To my surprise, when I returned from yoga class the other night, he had found this recipe and made the dough. Yep, he’s a keeper.
Then we whipped up a simple…

Allie is a 16-year old girl who works in a vinyl record store called Bob & Bob Records. This story talks about her summer working there. During the summer, she starts a blog and a zine, undercover, called The Vinyl Princess about music reviews and soon it’s rocketing into fame. This story also talks about her mom and how she’s starting to date again after getting a divorce with Allie’s dad. It’s pretty good, but that might just be because I’m a music junkie since I didn’t really see that much suspense in the plot. So, I would probably give it 4 out of 5 stars. I’m still putting it on my to-buy list, though.
This is a link to the actual blog if you want to check it out, but it’s a little dated; http://thevinylprincess.com/
Well, 8th grade started last Monday…And it was awesome!!! I have classes with some of the best people ever! Though I have to admit, my best friend last year, I don’t have any classes with her, so that was kind of sad, but, I still see her in the hallways and such. This is my scheldule:

3rd: Adv. Science
4th: All-Girls Chorus

8th: Adv. Language Arts
So much happened this week, that if I put it into this one post, it could easily surpass 5,000 words, (I’m already up to 130!) So, starting next Monday, I’ll start to really fill you in on the details. Maybe I’ll do it tonight or tommorrow, but I doubt it.
I’m not the surest of how these awards work, but I think I was nominated for one…so here goes!
What I heard was,
1. Put the award in your post.
2. Thank who nominated you.
3. Say 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate more people! (Some say 7 people, others say 3 or 5 or otherwise.)
Thank you, Jodi Ambrose for nominating me for the Beautiful Blogger Award!!!

Does anybody else think that everything at Bath & Body Works smells the same nowadays? Remember when they had those good scents like cucumber melon and all of those fruits with real names? I do, and I know for sure my mom does. She used to wear that stuff all over the place! Now every single purfume or lotion or soap smells like a chemical garden!
Anyway, lately, my mom and I have been trying to find a store with really good-smelling perfume at low prices. Not like any Gucci or Giovani that cost $100 for a bottle the size of your thumb. We kept looking in a store similar to Bath & Body Works called The Body Shop, but for as long I can remember, the only thing they ever had that we bought was soap. Then, today all of a sudden- BAM! -right in the front of the store they’re announcing that they’ve created a body mist (How fancy!) line of products. Me and my mom almost fainted because we had just come out of the B&BW hoping for the hundreth time that some of the good flavours had come back only to come out with headaches from their smells.
There was a sale going on where you bought 2 and got one free so each bottle was about $8 which is average for my mom’s beauty budget. She got Satsuma and Mango while I got Strawberry. If I were you, reading this, I would go out and buy some of this stuff because The Body Shop uses ingriedients that are about a thousand times better for the environment and people than any other beauty store I’ve seen in a long time. They also support fair trade and a ton of other things like stopping abuse and people trafficking.
