The cat cries at the back screen door
He thinks, What are you playing this sick game for?
I’ve just put the flea stuff all over his skin
Now he wants to go out instead of staying in
He rubs up against my leg,
His big, almond eyes are starting to beg
Oh, please, Oh, please, Won’t you let me out?
I can almost see his lips forming a pout
He meow meow meows in a pleading way
When all he wants to do is run about and play
Then he sits down to come up with an excuse
Probably thinking, This is animal abuse!
Just when I think he’s calmed down a bit
Soon he’s off on another fit
I can barely concentrate with him staring at me
All I can think is What a poor kitty
At last I hear a Ding! and the treatment is done
Now my flealess kitty can finally have some fun
I was looking around in the library the other day in the little kids section. Don’t judge! Sometimes I like an easy book to read! I came across the “Scary” section and I thought it would be things like Goosebumps or something. I started looking and I found a very-and I mean VERY- scary book about the Salem Witch Trials. Are kids, like 1st graders allowed to even read this stuff? I know if I had a child, I’d let them read it. maybe. But, aren’t some people like really against this kind of stuff? Especially for kids?
Anyway, I got the book and I plan on reading it sometime this week. Maybe I’ll put a review on my blog. The book is called Witch-Hunt by Marc Aronson if you’ve heard of it or think you might want to read it.
